Parshat Tetzaveh and God’s Investment Strategy
By: Ariel Cohen

Do you or does anyone you know have a talent or something they are really good at? Maybe you’re just naturally good at school, born with a really good singing voice, or maybe you’re inherently an amazing artist?

In this weeks Parsha, Tetzaveh, G-d wanted those individuals whom He “invested with … wisdom” to be the ones responsible for making the High Priest’s clothing. What does it mean that God invested wisdom in certain people?

Think about it, if you had just finished your first week of work and made a few bucks, you would think about investing your money in order to make more. But you would not just throw your money at the first company you see, would you? No! You could do a lot of research and put your hard earned money into a company that you think will give return. This is exactly what Hashem does! When he gives us a “G-d given talent”, he wants us to act on it and embrace it! Don’t just throw it away! If you have a talent, you should embrace it! Act on it! Every day you embrace your G-d given talent, you are giving a return on Hashems investment.

Additionally, we are now in the Hebrew month of Adar!!!! The Rabbis tell us that we should be happy in this month! Even more so a greater opportunity to find what we are good at and embrace it, in order to bring joy. Once you find/ practice your G-d given talent, do it, so it can make others along with yourself happy in honor of this awesome month!!!

We are all made in the image of G-d, Betzelem Elokim. So even if you might not have discovered it yet, everyone, EVERYONE, has a talent given to you from Hashem that is even be a little part OF Hashem. So now that you know you have this talent, what are you going to do with it?

Happy Adar and Shabbat Shalom!!!!!
