Good Shabbos, Good Shabbos!
This weeks Torah portion is parshas Korach. Korach was a very learned man who, for many reasons decided to raise a rebellion against Moshe Rabbeinu, Moses and Aharon to take a position of leadership for himself. Something Korach, (and we often) missed was the fact that the priestly roles were defined by God. Each of us are given a set of skills and a very specific task to complete in this world. Without us, the world cannot be complete. The proof is, you were born! By virtue of the fact that you we born means that you have something awesome to offer our world. The talmud tells us that Every person, everyday is obligated to say “the world was created for me!” You, in your role are awesome. Is there always room for growth? Yes. Should we be jealous of other people in their positions with their skill sets? No! Embrace your god given experiences and challenges and let’s work to complete OUR challenges, not our friends or families’ jobs!
Shabbat Shalom!
