After first meeting Anna at Chaparral’s JSU club, she excitedly joined NCSY, and hasn’t missed an event in two years! Anna is a great person that exudes selflessness and cares for the growth of every Jewish person. She is very enthusiastic and committed to the growth and excellence of the Arizona NCSY chapter! Congratulations Anna on this well deserved “NCSYer of the month” award!

NCSYer of the Month: Ali Zak

Ali Zak, 10th Grade JCHS Student, is a driving force behind East Bay NCSY. She has been on the board for two years, and has shaped our chapter to that of one which is always looking for more ways to do Chesed. A role model to her friends at school and to her community at shul, Ali really exemplifies a star NCSYer. Ali went on Ice Israel this past Summer (and had the BEST. SUMMER. EVER.) and is currently pre-registered for JOLT!

Thank you Ali for helping our chapter grow into the awesome place that it is!

City Chapter

sara gindo

NCSYer of the Month: Sara Gindi,

With all the challenges that come with being a teenager Sara has embraced her Judaism and its challenges. It is not easy to Dress Tzniyut and practice shomer negiya when those around you do not. Sara has stood out as a true role model among her friends and it is amazing to see the standard to which she holds herself even when it is not easy. Sara’s drive to grow is so inspiring to see and we are truly excited to watch her as she continues to grow!

NCSYer of the Month:  Lily Steckel

Lily took off of school to observe all of the Jewish Holiday’s this September. She made Judaism her priority even though she would have to make up a lot once the Holiday’s were over. Lily attended services, as well as all of our NCSY programming here in Portland during this past month. We wish her tremendous hatzlachah as she continues to grow in her religious observance!
