NCSYer of the Month: Jesse Orenshein,

Not being in a constant Jewish enviroment can always be a setback. For Jesse it was difficult to leave all his friends and start in an enviroment that is the extreme oppposite, but Jesse was up for the challange of continuing to be a leader even when it seems there is no one around who cares. Jesse makes sure he a has weekly chavrusas (torah partners) set up to ensure that he is continually growing. As we prepare to enter the second leg of the school year Jesse is seriously considering yeshivas in Israel for next year, he realizes the importance of having a year just dedicated to torah growth and I know whatever path he chooses he will not only be successfull in but also make sure that torah and a jewish surrounding is a part of it.
