NCSYer of the Month: Ava Zaripour

Ava has made huge strides in both JSU and NCSY! Not only is Ava growing more and becoming more of a presence in her chapter, she also makes sure to bring her friends to NCSY weekly programs. We are excited to see her as she prepares for her second summer on NCSY summer programs and as she takes more of a leadership role in her club and community. Ava is never seen without a smile on her face, and it is infectious to all around her. Ava has already asked what she can do to become a board member in her chapter and club and there is no doubt that Ava is an all-star in West Coast NCSY! TJJ Ambassadors is lucky to have a future leader like Ava this summer and we can only imagine what is coming next! GO AVA!

Eli Gazala is only a freshman and has already made a significant impact on Las Vegas NCSY in her short time on Board. NCSYer of the Month: Leeor Israeli

Leeor Israeli, 10th grader at JCHS, has been involved with NCSY for years. Always looking to grow, Leeor is a regular at Latte N’ Learning, Shabbatons and has weekly chavrutas learning about different topics in Judaism. Leeor has added so much to our Chapter and was even part of an official NCSY delegation to meet with the Maccabeats! And of course – she will have the BEST. SUMMER. EVER. on TJJAP this summer!!

NCSYer of the Month: Gaby Nahum

As a freshman, Gaby has been a great new addition to our chapter.  This past month, Gaby was tremendously inspired by Benji Kurnick’s tzitzit campaign and is taking this important mitzvah more seriously.  Gaby is a staple at LNL every week and recently helped out reading the Torah at our youth Shabbat service.

Daniel had an incredible month! From recruitment for our 2 Shabbatons, to helping with logistics and leading games, he has shown unbelievable leadership. We look forward to him utilizing his talents as we April and May as we begin to plan for Spring Regional and our end of the year programming!

Jake is an integral part of the San Diego Chapter. His dedication to NCSY and its mission is inspiring. This month, he is being named NCSYer of the month for his contribution to building Torah for teens in San Diego, his contribution to Torah Texts, Rad Midrash, and other exciting learning programs.

NCSYers of the Month

The Seattle JUMP Team Richelle Willner Martin, Gabi Benisti, Emma Stein, Julia Appelbaum, Abbi Weiss, Shira Puterman, Sara Greene, Ruth Boldorareand their advisors Nina Garkavi, Zach Grashin are the NCSYers of the month for bringing home the grand prize in the JUMP Boardroom in New York.   JUMP (Jewish Unity Mentorship Program) is a National OU competition in which teens from around the country compete in various chessed challenges. This year teens competed in 5 categories: Community Service, Israel awareness, Anti Bullying Campaign, Holocaust Education and charity Fundriasing. Seattle brought home the gold with their unique projects including: A Hunger Games Movie Night food drive for Jewish Family Services, a speaker event at Northwest Yeshiva High School with Israel Advocate David Olesker, our Insecuri-T’s Anti Bullying Tshirt Campaign, a joint video with teens and holocaust survivors for Yom Hashoah, and a Chinese Movie Night to raise money for Orly Ohayon, an injured NCSYer.

NCSYer of the Month: Leah Elkaim

Leah has a rich family history of involvement through NCSY.  She frequents DNL, LNL, and Shabbat Dinners.  This summer we are hoping to see her on TJJ as well.  Leah shows dedication and commitment, always has a question and a song in her head.  Thank you for joining NCSY and we can’t wait to see you on Valley Board in the near future!

NCSYer of the Month: Brian Paknoush

This has been a long time coming! This months West Valley NCSYer is Brian Paknoush. Brian has been a driving force behind many programs and activities for West Valley NCSY & Valley NCSY. Lately Brian has been more of a mentor towards the underclassmen, as well as recruiting for Latte N’ Learning and Shabbat Meals. It has been a great month and we look forward to what he can do in his final 3 months of high school! Congratulations to Brian on being named West Valley NCSYer of the month.
